We are looking for a General Manager, and Front Of House, for our brand new boutique guest house Constantine House. The 21 bedroom property is located at the heart of Thorpe Estate, a 3000 acre private Estate in Tamworth, Staffordshire, which has been stewarded by the same family for almost 400 years. Constantine House is in the final stages of a £2 million refurbishment and will welcome its first guests this Spring.

General Manager responsibilities will include:

  • The overall day to day smooth running of the property

  • Supervising reception and assisting with guest arrivals and departures

  • Assisting with the daily operation of breakfast

  • Working alongside the owner and marketing manager to improve the guest experience

  • Coordination of the housekeeping, laundry and maintenance teams

Front Of House responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the guest experience including pre-arrival, check-in and departures

  • Managing the breakfast service in a purpose built lounge/restaurant

  • Support the Hotel Manager and Owner in the day to day operation of the business

Key attributes required

All levels of hospitality experience will be considered. What is most important is you share our values and a passion to deliver exceptional service to each and every guest. A high standard of etiquette will be expected while interacting with guests in person, on email and over the phone. You will be highly organised, computer literate and able to navigate spreadsheets and online calendars.

You will be part of a diverse, Estate-wide team and report directly to the owners. Due to our rural location, you will have means of transport to and from the Estate.

Job spec and benefits

Both roles are full time, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends. Working hours will typically vary between 7.30am - 5pm. No night shifts are required. The schedule will usually involve working weekends, with Monday and Tuesday as days off.

Salaries

General Manager: £29~£36k/year, depending on experience

Front Of House: £21-£26k/year, depending on experience
